Udayapur - Bidur Basnet of the Nepali Congress has registered his candidacy for the election of the House of Representatives member to be held on Falgun 21 from Udayapur Constituency No. 1. Basnet, who is also the former district president of the party, has registered his nomination. He has also been elected as a central member through the special general convention of the Nepali Congress. Similarly, Baldev Chaudhary has registered his candidacy on behalf of the Nepal Communist Party. Chaudhary, who is also the former mayor of Triyuga Municipality, is a central member of the NCP. Chaudhary became the central secretary of the party after the then Nepal Communist Party split and Madhav Nepal and others formed the NCP (S). The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has changed its candidate at the last minute in Achham-2. The party has registered its candidacy by giving the election symbol 'star' to Bal Bahadur Kunwar, who is also a member of the Nepali Congress's Mahasamiti.

Kunwar is a leader who has been a candidate for the Constituent Assembly in 2070 BS. In the 2074 BS elections, he was a direct candidate from Achham-2 (Province 'B') on behalf of the Nepali Congress. However, he was defeated in both elections.
