The secretariat meeting on Saturday did not decide on Pokharel's candidacy in Dang-2. After consulting with Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Pokharel came to the conclusion that he would be a candidate from that constituency.
UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has been confirmed as a candidate from Dang-2 for the House of Representatives elections.
The secretariat meeting on Saturday did not decide on Pokharel's candidacy in Dang-2. After consulting with Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Pokharel has come to the conclusion that he will be a candidate from that area.
'It is certain that General Secretary Shankar Pokharel will be a candidate from Dang-2,' the Oli secretariat said.
The decision in Dang-1 will be finalized on Monday. It has been decided that Ghanshyam Pandey will contest in Dang-3.
He was defeated by Maoist Rekha Sharma in the last election.
