Kulman Ghising is preparing to submit the closed list alone after failing to reach an agreement in talks with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah.
The Ujjaya Nepal Party, under the patronage of Minister Kulman Ghising, is preparing to submit a closed list of proportional candidates for the House of Representatives elections. Ujjaya Nepal spokesperson Raju Thapa informed that preparations are being made to submit the proportional closed list in the coming days, keeping the path of unity dialogue open with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the party.
Thapa said that due to lack of time to prepare the proportional list after discussing with the RSS and Shah, the party is now submitting the proportional list alone.
'Discussions are underway with the RSS. But there was no time to prepare the proportional closed list together with them. We are preparing to submit the proportional closed list alone so that the dialogue continues,' Thapa said, 'We are making our preparations for the closed list. We are preparing to submit the proportional list within the time specified by the commission.'
On Sunday evening, discussions were also held between Rabi Lamichhane, Balendra Shah and Minister Ghising. But since there was no agreement, the possibility of submitting the closed list together with the RSS has ended. The Election Commission has set December 13 and 14 as the dates for submitting the proportional closed list.
