A seven-point understanding has been reached between Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah.

After a meeting that lasted from 9 pm on Saturday to 4 am on Sunday, it was agreed that Lamichhane would be the party president and Balen would be the future prime ministerial candidate .

Before this discussion, talks were underway between Balen Shah and Kulman Ghising at a house in Baluwatar . Meanwhile, RSP President Ravi Lamichhane had also reached there . After the talks that lasted all night, a 7-point understanding was reached between Balen and Lamichhane .

When this understanding was reached, Vice President DP Aryal, leader Swarnim Wagle, leader Shishir Khanal, who is also the former education minister and who was given responsibility for the talks, and former MP Ashim Shah were present from the RSP side . Similarly, Balen's friend Kumar Ben, who was given responsibility for the dialogue, and his personal secretary Bhupdev Shah were also present .

Similarly, Sudip Dhakal, KP Khanal, artist Nischal Basnet and others were also present . After the agreement, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Khanal, who is on the negotiation committee, said that the agreement was reached after ‘a few weeks of continuous efforts and from 9 pm last night to 4 am, the two main characters of Nepal’s alternative politics will be in one place.’

He said that from the legacy of Bibeksheel Sajha, founded by Lamichhane, within the RSS, a place has been created for Balen Shah, an important politician and popular among the youth, to come together.

Party Vice President DP Aryal, however, said that the two leaders are now ready to move forward together as per the people’s hopes and desires.
