Kulman Ghising, who had previously posted a photo on social media saying, ”We are together in the campaign to build the country” after Balen pledged his support, did not agree to the midnight agreement.

Kulman Ghising of the Ujjaya Nepal Party has been released after a seven-point agreement was reached after an all-night discussion between Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah.
There is no mention of Ghising in the agreement reached at around 4 am. According to meeting sources, he had left the place where the discussions were taking place at night. Mayor Balen had been discussing the modalities of including Kulman in the ongoing talks for a few days.
However, on Saturday alone, the central committee meeting of the Ujjaya Nepal Party decided to reject the proposal to have an alternative force in one place with Ravi as the president and Balen as the prime ministerial candidate. After this decision, Balen and Kulman held separate discussions in Baluwatar in the evening.
‘They had one-on-one talks since 7 pm yesterday. It is not known what happened between the two,’ Dr. Abhishek Singh, a central member of the Ujjaya Nepal Party who is in talks with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Balen, told Kantipur.
According to leaders close to Kulman, he had sought a respectful presence. In the past, when President Lamichhane was in prison, the RSP leaders, who had repeatedly discussed bringing him into the party, wanted to reach an agreement only with Balen this time.
However, the Balen faction had proposed a 50 percent share, saying that Kulman and Gen-G's group should also be included at the same time. 'We had already talked to Kulman, so we can talk to him separately again.' But we had said not to take a stand at this time,' said an RSP leader.
After the RSP brought the Bibeksheel Sajha Party into unification, Balen met Kulman on 14 Mangs. According to a leader close to Kulman, Balen had assured him of support by becoming a member of the Ujjaj Nepal Party. After that, Kulman posted a picture of the two on social media as part of the agreement, and wrote, 'We are together in the campaign to build the country.'
However, when Balen tried to reach a separate agreement with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Kulman expressed his dissatisfaction. After that, Balen met Kulman at 8 am on Saturday. He was scheduled to go to Pokhara in the evening. However, he canceled it and sat in Baluwatar for dialogue.
Even if the current RSSS-Balen agreement is broken, there is a strong opinion that alternative forces should come together in the Ujjaya Nepal Party. Party central member Sanjeev Bhattarai says, "Right now, the issue of giving a national solution is important, putting aside the issue of self-respect. We are in favor of a large section of the party coming together and giving a political solution to the country." He also said that there will be continuous discussions on this issue in the party.
The understanding between Ravi and Balen also mentions that they will call on other alternative political forces, groups and individuals to advance the issues of democratic good governance, progress and social justice by rallying around the party's principles, leadership and election symbol, the bell.
