Voting has begun for the election of a new leadership under the 11th general convention of the CPN-UML. Although the voting was scheduled to begin at 8 am, the voting began about an hour and a half late.
Presidential candidates KP Sharma Oli and Ishwor Pokharel have started voting by casting their votes. Earlier, the voting, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday evening, was postponed due to some technical problems.
Even now, delegates were waiting in line at the polling station after Oli was late in reaching the polling station this morning. 80 electronic machines have been set up for voting. 2,263 delegates from across the country will vote at the general convention.
