Upendra Yadav-led Janata Samajwadi Nepal has refused to sign the motion to remove Deputy Speaker Indira Rana.
Jaspa Nepal, which attended the meeting called by the ruling coalition, did not sign, arguing that the Deputy Speaker should not be removed while he was away.
JSP Nepal's whip Rekha Yadav informed that her party is not in favor of removing the Deputy Speaker while he is out. She said, "The Congress Parliamentary Party was called to discuss the proposal to remove the Deputy Speaker. We are of the view that it is not appropriate to bring the proposal while he is out. There is no discussion in our party, so the decision has been given.
If Jaspa does not vote, then the government will have to take the support of other parties to reach two-thirds. Jaspa has 7 MPs.
