The cadres coming from the old parties should be made to have clean intentions that can respect the rules and act accordingly. The younger generation should be allowed to take the leadership of the party and move it forward.
What you should know
There are problems in the country. They are increasing day by day. This has started to demoralize the young generation. Compulsion, search for opportunities, and disappointment - these three reasons are why thousands of youth are migrating abroad.
On the other hand, the youth who wanted to do something in the country kept raising their voices against the situation, but their voices were ignored. However, on Bhadra 23/24, a new wave of youth - Gen-G took to the streets with peaceful protests. The government responded repressively to the movement that was held with the expectation of reforming the system. The youth who came to the movement were shot. Many youth lost their lives, and many were injured.
The question of law and intention in politics is not a new issue. Opponents of every government, well-wishers, intellectuals, and ordinary citizens advocate that the government should run on the basis of law. But why our parties and leaders prefer to follow the opposite path is a questionable issue.
It has been proven through the experience and analysis of thousands of years of governance that there are prejudices, discrimination, inequality, injustice, exploitation, arbitrariness, etc. in the governance process. It has been established through major revolutions, sacrifices, and democratic philosophy that the rule of law should be followed. The Gen-G movement was a search for the rule of law.
The government led by KP Oli was ahead of others in the process of breaking the rules. When he tried to destroy democracy by pursuing a politics of dictatorship and revenge, the people's disappointment increased. He did not realize the disappointment that spread among the people while adopting a dictatorship and a politics of revenge to protect the seat of power. The country's politics was being disrupted by steps that challenged the core values of democracy.
There were/are many leaders from BP Koirala to Manmohan Adhikari, who put law, statute, morality, ideals, and humanity at their forefront. But such a trend was not seen in the Oli-led government. Even today, they have ego and arrogance. In the current situation, the people are looking for rapid development. Exemplary work is being done in the field of development in America, China, and European countries. But in our country, due to the lack of long-term methods and the lack of will and determination to complete the necessary plans on time, even the work is not completed on time.
The problem here is mainly in the rule of law. There is a problem in the court, there is a problem in the judges within the court. There is a problem in the political parties. There is a problem everywhere. There is a problem in accountability. Until such problems are solved, the positive changes we seek will not come.
If we make laws and rules but trample on them, our generation will not be able to see a developed Nepal. There must be an intention to respect the law. Only then will development take place at a rapid pace. Peace will be maintained. The opportunities given by time will be utilized properly. Now the country will not find a way out with the centuries-old ideas, principles and organizational style carried and adopted by the old political parties. Now we need a political party that will also include the new generation.
In politics, leadership is needed that will not rule over the people, but will become the servants of the people. Yesterday, the kings and Ranas fell when they were very powerful and ran the country in their own way. Now we are on the path of democracy. No one can last long on the path of selfishness and arrogance. That is why there must be an intention to respect the law.
As long as workers become blind followers of their leaders, the situation in politics and the country will continue to deteriorate. The main reason why the new parties called alternative forces, from the Congress, UML, Maoists to the new parties called alternative forces, are deteriorating is because the leaders have trampled on the methods they themselves have created. It is because they do not have the right intentions. The new generation involved in politics should also give up the habit of serving the leader. Otherwise, the next generation will not be able to see a developed Nepal.
The new parties that call themselves alternative forces should learn a lot by watching the government at this time. Alternative forces should be like a reform center. Workers coming from old parties should be made with clean intentions who can respect the methods. The young generation should be allowed to take the leadership of the party and move it forward. If we talk loudly and emotionally on the outside but internally abuse each other, serve the leader, and only defend the leader even when he makes a mistake, we will end up like the old parties.
Politics that is not guided by methods and positive intentions is prone to accidents. Individualistic thinking causes losses to everyone. It's not enough to just say that you have pure intentions, you have to show it in action.
