The family of Santosh Bishwakarma, who died in the Gen-G movement, has said that everyone at the then policy level, including the then Prime Minister, Home Minister, Chief District Officer, Inspector General of Police and security personnel and the commander of the three, were responsible for the incident on Bhadra 23.

According to the statement given to the inquiry commission by Ambika Bishwakarma, the wife of Santosh Bishwakarma, who died during the Gen-G movement, she said that everyone at the then policy level, including the then Prime Minister, Home Minister, Chief District Officer, Inspector General of Police and security personnel and the commander of the three, were responsible for the incident.

In her statement, Santosh's wife Ambika has accused her husband of being shot without any warning. According to her, Bishwakarma, who was a laborer, had spontaneously participated in the movement.

She said that the last contact was at around 10:30 am on the day of the incident. She also stated that she was taken to the hospital by protesters after being shot during a protest on Bhadra 23.

But she was declared dead on the same day before treatment began . She stated that her post-mortem report has not been received, but there was no negligence during treatment . Ambika has accused the security personnel of opening fire without warning in an aggressive and oppressive manner .

In her statement, she demanded strict action against the culprits . After the incident, the family received a compensation of Rs. 1.5 million from the Nepal government, but she said that the truth about the incident should be made public and the culprits should be brought to justice . She demands that the state should focus on good governance, corruption control and job creation to prevent such incidents from recurring .
