Two UML and one RSP cadre were injured in a clash between CPN-UML and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) cadres in Baitadi.
A clash broke out between UML and RSWP cadres during a house-to-house visit at around 7:50 pm on Wednesday in Lek Tole of Dhamigaun, Dilasaini Rural Municipality-7 of the district, said District Police Office Baitadi spokesperson and Police Inspector Suraj Singh.
The injured in the clash are Janak Dhami, 28, a leader of the CPN-UML-affiliated Youth Union Baitadi, who lives in Dilasaini-7, and Madhav Dhami, 26, a resident of the same place. Janak has injuries to his head and forehead, while Madhav has injuries to his back and legs.
Both the injured are undergoing treatment at Gokuleshwor Hospital and their condition is normal, said spokesperson Singh.
Similarly, Lal Singh Dhami of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was slightly injured, the police said.
The police also said that they have taken about 4-5 RSS supporters into custody. The District Police Office, Baitadi, said that the police have reached the spot and are conducting further investigation.
