Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that the House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun will be held in a clean, fair and fear-free environment.

During an on-site inspection and monitoring of various polling stations in Kathmandu and Makawanpur on Saturday, Home Minister Aryal expressed confidence that all parties would cooperate to conduct the election in a peaceful and fear-free environment, and mentioned that the active participation of the general public is necessary to make the election successful in a peaceful environment.

Home Minister Aryal, who is also the spokesperson for the government, requested all parties concerned to be aware of the false, misleading and misinformation being spread on social media and to prepare for their respective constituencies.

Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Chief of the Security Coordination Division Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Ananda Kafle, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Ishwor Raj Poudel, Kathmandu Police Chief (SSP) Ramesh Thapa and other high-ranking officials were present along with Home Minister Aryal in matters related to election preparation and security management. A team including Minister Aryal inspected the on-site inspection of the Seti Devi Secondary School polling station in Pharping, Dakshinkali Municipality-9.

In addition, Home Minister Aryal had monitored and instructed the Armed Police Force Nepal Riot Control Regiment Battalion in Kirtipur and taken information about the overall security management of the district.  

Similarly, Home Minister Aryal had monitored the polling station of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-18 in Makawanpur. During that, issues related to monitoring and election security were discussed in the presence of the District Security Committee officials of Makawanpur district and the Rural Municipality Chairman Devkrishna Pudasaini. Similarly, a team including Minister Aryal had inspected the post of Indrasarobar Municipality and taken information about the security situation in the district. 

A joint team including the District Security Chiefs of Kathmandu and Makawanpur districts had conducted on-site monitoring and inspection. They took a briefing on the security of the areas around the borders of both districts, the mobilization of security personnel including polling stations, and gave necessary instructions regarding security management and mobilization.
