The commission issued a statement on Saturday requesting that the closed list of candidates be submitted to the office of the election officer by 4 pm on March 13 and 14.
Political parties can make the closed list of candidates public before or after submitting it to the office of the election officer, said Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, joint secretary and spokesperson of the commission, in the statement.
'Parties interested in participating in the proportional election must prepare the list of candidates only after completing the methods, procedures and evidence documents specified in the House of Representatives Member Election Act, 2074, Regulations, 2074, and the House of Representatives Proportional Election Guidelines, 2082,' the statement said.
