Although the Ministry of Health approved the criteria for classifying the injured in the Gen-G movement on November 24, the government has not been able to complete the classification of the injured even after almost a month.

According to the Ministry of Health, the classification work will be completed only after receiving the injured identity cards distributed by the Ministry of Home Affairs. But so far, the process of classifying only 460 injured out of 2,523 injured in the Gen-G movement has moved forward.

The government had decided to issue injured identity cards based on the same name as those who reached the hospital on Bhadra 23 and 24. The Ministry of Health has also urged those who have not received identity cards to obtain them. Of the 460 people who have received identity cards, 204 have been classified so far, including 169 in Kathmandu, 13 in Kaski, 1 in Lalitpur, 17 in Jhapa, 1 in Dhangadhi, 1 in Dhanusha, 1 in Parsa and 1 in Rupandehi. In addition, the Ministry of Health has stated that the Ministry of Health will verify and analyze other details received by the Ministry and send them to the Ministry of Home Affairs for the remaining process.

The Ministry of Health had sent a file to the Ministry of Home Affairs on 25 Kartik to classify the injured who were treated at 74 health institutions across the country. In which the injured have been classified into 4 categories as very serious, serious, moderate and normal.

The Home Affairs had written to the District Administration Offices on 25 Kartik to send the names according to the same classification. In the letter, the Home Affairs had issued a seven-day notice and asked them to complete the classification of the injured as soon as possible and send it to the Technical Committee of the Health Ministry's Gen-G Protest Injured and inform the Home Affairs about it.

Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki requested the injured to go to the district administration to get the identity card of the injured and said that the relief and compensation processes would be stopped until the classification is done.
