The Nepal Tourism Board has urged mountaineering, trekking teams, and domestic and international tourists traveling to high mountain and hilly areas in the next few days to be vigilant.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the current low-pressure system in the western and Arabian Seas is affecting Nepal's weather. Due to this, light to moderate rain and snowfall are likely in various parts of the country.
Snowfall is particularly likely in Gandaki, Lumbini, Bagmati and Karnali provinces. Heavy rain and snowfall are expected in some high mountain areas and hilly parts of these provinces between October 10 and 12.
