53 people died in floods, landslides and accidents in two days [Update]

According to the police, 53 people have died so far due to two days of floods, landslides and road accidents.

Among the dead, 6 died in the Panchthar jeep accident, while others died due to floods, landslides and lightning.

According to central police spokesperson Vinod Ghimire, 2 thousand 23 families have been displaced due to floods and landslides, 19 livestock have died and 191 houses are inundated.

Most of the dead are from Elam. According to Ghimire, who is also the DIG, 37 people have died and 5 people have been injured in the landslide in Ilam. 13 men, 14 women, 3 boys and 8 girls were killed.
