The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has requested to stop vehicular movement on the roads (corridor roads) along the rivers and streams of Kathmandu Valley from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

The authority issued a notification today stating that heavy to very heavy rains are occurring in various parts of the country including Kathmandu Valley and requested all the three district administration offices of the valley to stop movement on the corridor roads. 

Tonight, the amount of rain will increase further, the water level in the river will increase and the risk of flooding of the roads along the river will increase.

 'In order to reduce the potential risk, it is requested to stop the traffic on the roads (corridor roads) along the rivers and streams of Kathmandu Valley from 6:00 pm today to 6:00 am tomorrow, as per the decision', the notice issued by the authority states. Other news related to
