Vandalism and arson in 6 offices under Election Commission during Gen-G movement

On 23rd and 24th of August, election offices were vandalized and set on fire during the Gen-G movement.

Vandalism and arson in 6 offices under Election Commission during Gen-G movement

Six offices under the Election Commission were vandalized and set on fire during the Gen-G movement. According to the Election Commission, these incidents took place on August 23 and 24 during the Gen-G movement.

Election Commission Joint Secretary Rajendra KC said that a motorbike of the Election Commission Secretariat, the office of the Election Office Ilam was vandalized and the materials were burnt. According to him, the office of Provincial Election Office Morang was vandalized and materials were stolen, the office of District Election Office Saptari was arson and goods were stolen and a motorcycle was burnt.

Similarly, the building and four-wheeled vehicle in the district election office, Chitwan, were completely damaged by fire. Joint Secretary KC State Election Office said that one of the four-wheelers was completely damaged by fire and the other was vandalized in Pokhara.

Similarly, the building of the state election office in Dang was damaged by pelting stones and a motorcycle was set on fire. Likewise  In addition to vandalizing the office of the District Election Office, Dadeldhura, 2 motorcycles and a computer, laptop were burnt.
