What I saw at the trauma center

As soon as I entered the hospital, I heard the sound of tear gas being fired outside the hospital. Other patients in the hospital were also shocked. A list of 49 patients brought there was pasted on one wall of the hospital.

I reached the trauma center around 6 pm after learning that the number of deaths due to firing by the police during the Gen G movement has increased and many injured people have been taken to the trauma center. There was a heavy police presence around the trauma center. It looked more like a police station than a hospital.

When I always go to the hospital, I park easily and get inside, but today I stopped at the gate . The police were also blocking the entrance to the hospital. Even when I introduced the journalist, the police did not allow me to meet the wounded who were brought to the hospital . I entered Lusuk along with the ambulance that brought the injured. A large number of policemen were also stationed inside the hospital. As soon as I entered the hospital, I heard the sound of tear gas being fired outside the hospital. Other patients in the hospital were also shocked. A list of 49 patients brought there was pasted on one wall of the hospital.
I reached the emergency gate . Due to the crowd, we could not even enter there. I met some wounded who were trying to return after being treated . Som Sharma, a resident of Baglung, was shot in the leg. He said he was standing on the Akase Bridge in Baneshwar when he was shot. Baglung's Iman Magar was also shot in the hand. I also met Ronis Regmi, a Gurkha who was shot in the head.

Saw the dead bodies in the back of the hospital. Eight dead bodies were lying there. One of the employees said that all the dead were protestors. From one side of the body of the deceased, doctors were also seen rushing to treat the injured in the emergency room.

Then I met Badri Rizal, the medical superintendent at the hospital . He said that 66 injured people are being treated in the hospital and 8 people have died. The identity of three of them was not disclosed. I learned from Rizal that all but one of the dead were between the ages of 19 and 29.

I didn't find a single relative of the deceased in the hospital . Because the families of some of the dead hardly knew about this incident.

Even when leaving the hospital at half past seven, there was a large police presence at the gate. The presence of protesters outside the hospital was increasing. The process of bringing the patient in the ambulance did not stop even then .
