Facebook URL has been blocked in Nepal. Access to Facebook's web addresses has been blocked since Thursday night as the Nepal Telecommunication Authority instructed internet service providers to deactivate unlisted social networks.
The chief executive officer of Ispon, the umbrella organization of internet service providers, Subhas Khadka confirmed that URL blocking has started after the government's instructions. This has been implemented with the decision of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology on Thursday to make inactive for unregistered social networks in Nepal. According to Khadka, the CEO of
, the URL blocking process has started since yesterday. He made it clear that typing 'facebook.com' does not open . "We have started the process of closing 26 of the list," he said, adding that the URLs have been blocked since yesterday. It doesn't open when browsing for facebook.com.'
URL is the address of any website. If an Internet service provider blocks a URL, users may not be able to open that website or view its content . The
