Nepali Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada drew serious attention to the trade agreement between China and India in Lipulek, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani areas and urged the government to take immediate diplomatic initiatives.

Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, he emphasized that the matter should be raised at a higher level on the occasion of the Prime Minister's upcoming China-India visit.

He said, 'Let the government move forward to resolve the trade agreement between China and India in Lipulek, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani areas as soon as possible. The Prime Minister is going to China and India in a few days, at that time we should make our position clear with the heads of both governments. In this sensitive issue, all parties, castes or groups should rise above and stand in favor of national self-respect and unity.'

He expressed his concern about the flood caused by the bursting of Himalaya in the Tibetan area and said that mutual cooperation between the two countries is necessary.
