In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, the parliamentarians emphasized that the government should be aware of the latest tension between India and Pakistan and its possible impact on Nepal.

Nepali Congress MP Sanjay Kumar Gautam expressed the view that the government should discuss the short-term and long-term effects of the war between India and Pakistan due to geopolitical sensitivities and open borders.

Gautam mentioned the need for unity among national political parties at a time when conflict is raging in Southeast Asian countries. He opined that the common people should be instilled with hope by maintaining a minimum consensus on issues such as constitutional amendment, strengthening of federalism, protection and promotion of culture.

He mentioned that the fear of wild animals is increasing in the national park area and presented the fact that two people died and 11 people were injured due to leopard attack in Bardia in the last three months and drew the attention of the government to create an environment to protect citizens from wild animals.

Member of Parliament of Nepal Communist Party (UML) Achyut Prasad Mainali said that the government has brought policies and programs with new plans and positive initiatives are needed to pass them. He said that the government has boldly pushed forward the program by disrupting the traditional policies and programs.

Mainali suggested that the MPs of the opposition party should make factual and positive comments and opined that a common vision between the political parties is necessary for the institutional development of the Federal Democratic Republic and the economic progress of the country.

Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) Member of Parliament Rupa Soshi (Chowdhary) emphasized that the government should be active in controlling corruption and irregularities. She expressed the view that public-private partnership should be prioritized to build a socialist-oriented economy. After the issue of Nepal Electricity Authority's loss became public, the government has drawn attention to make it effective.

Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) Member of Parliament Chanda Karki (Bhandari) said that the post of Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank has been vacant for a month and asked for immediate appointment. She pointed out that the economic crisis in the country is increasing, there is a weakness in promoting good governance and the productive sector is becoming weak, and she said that the government should be serious about a sensitive position like the governor.

Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPPA) MP Vikram Pandey predicted that the temperature will rise and there will be heavy rain in the coming days and asked the government to start preparing for possible risks. He emphasized on the need to make the disaster management strong and effective in order to streamline the transportation and rescue operations of emergency relief materials.
