The permanent structure construction process will be started within one and a half months on the BP highway which was damaged due to the incessant rains that fell between October 10 and 12. According to the road department, preparations are being made for that.

A 12 km road in the Kavrevanjang-Nepalthok section has been damaged by the landslide. Its 8.7 km road section is washed away by Roshi river. 3.3 km of road was washed away and cracked somewhere. At present, temporary diversions have been made and the means of transport have been operated. 

16 days after the road was swept away by the flood, traffic was brought into operation in this section. The machines in various projects have been temporarily opened and brought into operation. Even now there is a problem of traffic jams due to narrow roads in various sections. Ramhari Pokharel, director general of the road department, said that various conditions have been analyzed regarding the construction of this road.

It is estimated that building a road structure like before the flood will cost three and a half billion, it cannot be said that such a natural disaster will not cause damage,' he said, 'so it was not suitable.' Pokharel says that it seems necessary to build a bridge to do so. "These bridges will not be built in one section, we will build them at a distance of 50 meters or 100 meters," he said He told that it will take and it will be sustainable.

"It costs 30 million rupees to build a two-lane road per km," said Pokhrel, "It is estimated that the cost of building a bridge will be 2.2 million rupees per metre." All in all, it is estimated to cost 7 billion rupees. "Now the crankite wall has been installed, now we will anchor the RCC wall and rock in those places," he said, "Before this, it seems that the structure has been made only up to the water level."  

"We will not change the layout of the road that was built earlier, it may be a little higher," he said, "We will make a stronger structure by correcting the deficiencies that were made earlier." There is a problem on the road from Chowki Danda in Kavre to Mulkot. "From Chowkidanda to Nepalthok section, there are more problems," he said, "Sindhuli section has suffered less damage and Kavre section has more damage." is "We are in favor of fast work, so there is no budget problem for designing," he said Pokharel says that the work will be started by making small contracts. "The Prime Minister and the Finance Minister have spoken verbally with JICA representatives about building the BP highway," he said, "no decision has been taken in this regard." He says that if the source is from the Nepal government, the construction work will be completed permanently within one and a half to two years of the contract. In the past years, around 10,000 vehicles used to pass through this highway during the festive season. More than 7,000 vehicles pass through this section every day.

Saroj Sitaula, the senior vice president of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Professionals, said that the temporarily opened road was unstable. "The road has been put into operation normally, it cannot be said that no accident will happen again," he said, "because of the road, the problem of the passengers having to travel and the vehicle breaking down has increased." ;

Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal said that the BP highway could be put into operation quickly by working even during Dasain. "We have made the issue of permanent road construction a top priority," he said, "if Japan wants to build it, we will let him build it. There is no decision on this yet, but if it is too late, we will start the work ourselves." , Pinthali Besi, Dalabesi, Vaikure Khola, Char Sayed Besi, Mangaltar and other parts of the road have been washed away. In this section, there is no asphalt road. In some places, there is a compulsion to drive the vehicle through the river.
