So far, 192 people have died in floods and inundation due to incessant rains, while 30 people have gone missing. Rishiram Tiwari, spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs informed that 194 people were injured in the natural disaster.
Spokesman Tiwari said that all security agencies have been mobilized for search, rescue and relief after the flood and more than 4,500 disaster victims have been rescued so far.
The ministry has announced that food and other emergency relief materials have been provided to the flood victims and the injured are being treated free of charge.
The government has given high priority to search, rescue and relief. Spokesperson Tiwari also said that efforts are being made to open the blocked highway for traffic.
