CPN (UML) MPs have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Speaking at an emergency meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, the UML MPs demanded the immediate resignation of the Prime Minister.

The MPs said that since the Prime Minister has lost his majority, he has lost the moral basis to remain in the government. The parliamentarians say that the government is not able to work effectively in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the disaster-affected people, and a strong government is needed as soon as possible. Speaking at the meeting, CPN (UML) MP Vidya Bhattarai drew the attention of the government to pave the way for forming a new government to create a government that can work.

She said, "Government should be serious in arranging necessary protection, relief and proper compensation for the victims and affected people who have been displaced and are at risk due to floods, landslides and inundation." But where is the government today? We all have questions and remain silent about what is going on. I want to draw attention to the fact that we should be ready to give responsibility to the new government in order to make the government work.

UML MP Achyut Prasad Mainali said that even though many incidents are happening all over the country, the government is putting oil in its ears. He demanded the Prime Minister and Home Minister to resign on moral grounds.

He said, 'Despite all the problems, today the government is sitting with oil in its ears. I suggest to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to resign on moral grounds. I request the Home Minister to immediately come to the House and inform about all these incidents. If not, I would like to suggest him to resign on the basis of ethics.

UML MP Kiran Kumar Sah also suggested the Prime Minister to resign. He said that there is a need for a strong and stable government in this time of crisis. He said that only a strong government can effectively deal with floods, landslides and other disasters.

He said, 'There is a need for long-term planning and readiness when dealing with the effects of climate change and natural disasters. On the part of the government, special attention should be paid to the formulation and implementation of policies that include climate change and disaster management. But now, in times of crisis, we have felt the need for ethics in leadership. The current Prime Minister has lost his majority. Which has led the country to more instability and confusion. A strong and stable government is needed in times of crisis. Which can effectively deal with floods, landslides and other disasters. The Prime Minister should take moral responsibility and resign.
