In the past two days, 15 people have died and 21 people have been injured in the floods and landslides that followed the incessant rains. As of Sunday evening, 3 people are missing.

The Central Office of Nepal Police has confirmed that 15 people died in the floods and landslides in Kathmandu Valley and Koshi, Wagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces only on Saturday and Sunday. Police spokesperson DIG Dan Bahadur Karki said that due to the heavy rains since Saturday, the loss of life and property was the most in Gandaki province. According to him, 60 houses have been flooded in Gandaki and more than 150 families have been displaced. 3 people are missing. A man in Belka-3 of Udaipur, a girl in Simta of Surkhet and a woman in Bhirkot of Syangja are missing due to floods.

Similarly, 3/3 people died due to landslides in Syangja's Puan Municipality-6 and Tanahun's Shuklagandaki-7. 2 people died in Phalebas Karkineta of Pari Parbat in the landslide itself. According to the police, two people died in Lamhi and Rajpur of Dang while one person died in Mathagadi of Palpa. Two people lost their lives in the flood at Roshi in Kavre. Similarly, one person died in Nagarjuna, Kathmandu. 7 men, 6 women and 2 children have died in the last two days due to floods. Police spokesperson Karki said that 7 people were injured in Syangja and 5 people were injured in Tanahun due to the landslide. Six people were injured in Helambu in Sindhupalchok, Rurukshetra in Gulmi, Ichchakamana in Chitwan and Okhaldhunga. According to the police, 3 people were injured in Dakshinkali and Budhanil Kanth of Kathmandu due to flood.

Since the start of the rainy season, 67 people have died in monsoon-related incidents including floods and landslides across the country since the end of May, according to the police. According to the police statistics, 28 men, 22 women and 17 children died in the floods during this period. Similarly, 83 people were injured. The injured include 39 men, 29 women and 15 children. According to the police, 6 people are missing. According to police data, 121 houses have been inundated due to floods, 82 houses, 46 sheds, 41 bridges, 1 school and 2 government offices have been damaged. 188 animals and quadrupeds have died. More than 1 thousand 58 households have been displaced due to the disaster in three weeks. Spokesperson Karki said that with the coordination and support of various agencies and local residents, the police are working to keep those who are at risk of floods in safe places, to retrieve the wealth buried in the landslides and to remove the road obstacles in various places.
