UML has informed the Federal Parliament that it has withdrawn its support to the government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal. On Friday, UML's chief whip Mahesh Bertaula wrote a letter to the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament and informed that the support has been withdrawn.
It is mentioned in the letter that the support given to the Dahal-led government has been withdrawn as the initiative to form a new government was initiated with the aim of providing political stability by forming a government of national consensus. The next meeting of the House of Representatives has been called for 11 am on Sunday. Even though UML, the largest party in the ruling party, has withdrawn its support, Prime Minister Dahal is adamant about taking a vote of confidence.
UML's letter says, 'The current government formed under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister and participating in the government by voting on behalf of the CPN (UML) to form a government of national consensus and provide political stability, the support given to the government in the perspective of the initiative to form a new government dated June 19, 2081 It has been returned. As the honorable Prime Minister has also been informed about it, our party CPN (UML) will be in the opposition in the Parliament.
