"Vmag" team visited Kathmandu Model College (KMC) while providing information about the educational environment and quality of various colleges operating in Nepal, extracurricular activities and other facilities.
As part of 'College to Watch', BMAG reached KMC in Baghbazar, Kathmandu. Principal of the college Dr. Nagendra B. Aryal said that KMC has been studying/teaching science, management and law for two and a half decades. According to him, the college established 24 years ago is currently preparing to admit the 25th batch.
Along with the curriculum prescribed by the National Examination Board, Aryal claims that since its inception, the college has been giving priority to additional classes related to professions according to the interests of the students. Reading within the course will become natural. Apart from that, we have been conducting classes from various experts focusing on professional career issues, he said.
The college has been conducting 70 to 80 extracurricular activities every year. According to Amit Gharti, head of extracurricular activities of the college, activities such as singing, dance, art, essay, sports, swimming, MUN, Mr. and Miss KMC are being held regularly in the college. He said that such activities will be organized by the students themselves and the college administration will only coordinate them.
