Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the prime minister of three consecutive coalitions, has expanded the cabinet on Wednesday. Along with this, as he said, the examination of "moving towards good governance, development, social justice and prosperity" has begun. The ministry has been supported by the UML and Rashtriya Swatantra Party, which are fierce critics of the previous coalition government led by him.

The Janata Samajwadi Party, a partner of the four-party alliance, did not participate in the government citing internal party reasons. UML after one year and nine days and RSVP after one year and one month again participated in Dahal government. 8 ministers from the UML, 5 from the Maoist Center, 4 from the National Independent Party and 2 from the CPN United Socialist Party participating in the new power coalition took the oath of office and secrecy from President Ramchandra Paudel.

16 ministers, including three vice-presidents, have been sworn in and 19 ministers have been appointed. The ministries of 3 ministers who took oath on Monday have also been assigned. UML Secretary Raghuveer Mahaseth, Vice President of Maoist Center Narayankaji Shrestha and Ravi Lamichhane, Chairman of RSVP, have taken charge as Deputy Prime Minister, Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Foreign Affairs and Home Minister respectively. These three deputy prime ministers have been ministers before.

Maoists have re-elected four ministers except Finance Minister Barshman Pun and Tourism Minister Hit Bahadur Tamang. Senior Vice President Narayankaji Shrestha has been transferred from Home Affairs to Foreign Affairs, while Energy Secretary Shakti Basnet and Rekha Sharma have been reassigned as Communications and Information Technology Minister. According to a Maoist leader, the minister has resumed the important work he had started. The name of the UML minister was decided by the office bearer meeting, while Prime Minister Dahal, who led the government, recommended the minister after consultation with the close leaders. 

Deputy Prime Minister and Physical Infrastructure Minister Mahaseth led the government on behalf of UML. He has previously held the responsibility of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure. He is also a former Deputy Prime Minister and former Foreign Minister. He was elected to the House of Representatives from Dhanusha-4 in Madhesh Province. The 62-year-old has graduated in civil engineering. In the year 2033, he started politics by becoming a member of the then Male. He has been a central member of UML since 2054 and has been elected MP from Dhanusha 3 times.

Another deputy prime minister, Shrestha, has taken over as foreign minister after taking oath. Shrestha, a 63-year-old member of the National Assembly, was also in charge of Foreign Affairs in 2068. From Gorkha, he has completed his master's degree in public administration. He entered the Maoist center from the general secretary of Ekta Kendra by uniting the party through teaching and health workers. He has been the party vice president since 2065.

About 13 months after being relieved of the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs, RSVP Chairman Lamichhane has returned to the leadership of the Home Ministry. At that time, he was in charge of the Home Ministry for only 32 days. He was relieved of his post by the decision of the Supreme Court in that dispute. He was elected from Chitwan-2 with 69 percent of the votes in the by-election held last May and re-entered the Parliament. 48-year-old Lamichhane, who has studied up to certificate level, was active in journalism after spending 14 years in America. Before the formation of RSVP, he was in the role of a journalist. He is the former host of the television program 'Sidha Kura Janata Sang'. He also held the role of Managing Director of Galaxy FourK Television.

Before the November 2079 House of Representatives elections, the National Independent Party was established under his leadership. RSVP is being interpreted as an alternative political force. In a short period of its establishment, the RSWP was able to secure 21 seats directly and proportionally and secured the position of the fourth party in the parliament. 

Deputy General Secretary of the Maoist Center Varshaman, who has been a Member of Parliament continuously since 2064 and a minister twice since 2067, has again become the Finance Minister. He was the finance minister in the Baburam Bhattarai-led government in 2068 as well. The 52-year-old elected from Rolpa has been the Minister of Peace and Reconstruction, Energy and Water Resources. He is a confidant of Prime Minister Dahal, who played the role of a leader in forming a new power coalition. Before becoming a minister, he had been working as an informal adviser to Dahal. As the second innings of the Ministry of Finance, there are opportunities and challenges to move forward in the direction of 'prosperity' among the three main objectives of the government by increasing the economy of the country. 

Shakti Basnet, who is also the deputy secretary general of the party from Maoist, has continued in the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and Rekha Sharma, a member of the Standing Committee, in the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Basnet Jajarkot and Sharma are MPs elected from Dang.

Hit Bahadur Tamang has taken charge of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. Elected from Nuwakot, he is a central member of the Maoist Center. He is also a former youth and sports minister. Tamang was the youth and sports minister in the Jhalnath Khanal-led government in 2068. He is 60 years old and belongs to Nuwakot Panchkanya. Directly elected from Nuwakot Region No. 1, he has acquired educational qualifications up to SLC. Participating in the student movement since 2036, he became the Nuwakot District Secretary of ANERASWAVIU in 2039. In 2047, he was a member of the 4th Congress of CPN, and in 2052, he was the district secretary of the Maoists when the armed rebellion was announced. He became a central member in 2058. He was elected as a member of the Interim Legislature in 2063 after the peace process. He was also elected to the House of Representatives in 2074 and 2079.

UML central member Padam Giri, elected from Parbat-1, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. Earlier he was the chief whip of UML. He has the experience of being the Minister of Health and Population for about three months in December 2079. A graduate in humanities, he started politics in 2047 by organizing in ANERASWA from Kafalchaur University. Since 2055, he has been a member of the Independent Students' Union of Prithvi Narayan Campus Pokhara and was also elected as its president. In 2074, he was also a member of the House of Representatives.

Hari Upreti has got the responsibility of Defense Minister. Upreti, who was elected from Sarlahi-3 in Madhesh Pradesh, is a member of the former Constituent Assembly, and together with Giri, he also held the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for a short time. The 56-year-old has graduated in management. He has been involved in political activities since 2036. 

Similarly, UML central member Bhagwati Chaudhary has been appointed as the Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens. Directly elected from Sunsari-3 of Koshi region, she has obtained master's degree in Humanities and Sociology. 52-year-old Chaudhary, who was also a member of the first Constituent Assembly, was a member of UML since 2048.

Rajendra Rai of Dhankuta Pakhribas has become the water supply minister. 59-year-old Rai was the Minister of Land Management in 2079. He is a directly elected Member of Parliament from Dhankuta with certificate level educational qualification. He has experience as a civil servant and local peace coordinator.

Similarly, Damodar Bhandari from Far West Baitadi has been appointed as Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supply. Bhandari, who has served as UML's district president and state president, has been active in politics since the 2046 mass movement. The 50-year-old has studied up to graduation. 

Jwalakumari Sah, elected from Bara-3, has taken charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. Born in 2038, she joined UML from Maoist. She joined UML in 2074 when she was a member of Madhesh province. She became the Minister of Agriculture in 2077 and got the responsibility of the same ministry again.

Balram Adhikari has been given the responsibility of Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation from UML. The 63-year-old officer was elected to the House of Representatives from Kapilvastu 1. He has been involved in student politics since 2034 and has completed studies up to certificate level. He is also a former principal. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly in 2070.

Raswap Deputy Chairman Dol Prasad Aryal has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security. Aryal from Dhading was elected MP from proportional quota. The 49-year-old was elected as a member of the House of Representatives in 2079. He has been active in the field of tourism and travel for two decades and has been a classmate of party chairman Ravi Lamichhane since its inception. Before becoming active in politics, he was active in the field of tourism and travel for two decades. After returning from foreign employment, he was active in the fields of tourism, cooperatives, remittances and social service. After party president Lamichhane left the Ministry of Home Affairs in January 2079, RSVP ministers including Aryal left the Dahal-led government.

RSVP Joint Minister Sumana Shrestha has been appointed as Minister of Education, Science and Technology. Born in Kathmandu-26, she became a member of RSWP in 2079. She was a Member of Parliament of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives.

RSVP parliamentary party deputy leader Virajbhakt Shrestha has become the youth and sports minister. Shrestha, the 42-year-old newly appointed minister of Kathmandu Indrachowk, has obtained a bachelor's degree in commerce/business administration.

Bhanubhakta Joshi, a standing committee member from CPN-S, has been appointed as the Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration. He was the Chairman of Education, Health and Information Technology Committee of Parliament elected from Bajhang.
