The Hulaki road at Kaudena has been destroyed due to the flood after the incessant rains in Sarlahi on Saturday night. The collapse of the Hulaki road, which is considered the lifeline of the southern region, has left the locals suffering.

The flood has created a ditch up to 15 meters long and about 10 feet deep on the road. Passengers have been suffering since the pit was filled with water. But after the youths of the village made a temporary bamboo shelter on the road that had been cut since Monday, the travelers of the rural areas got some relief.

Only motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians are allowed to travel from Lachka. But they are charging a high amount due to frequent passenger traffic. 10 rupees for pedestrians and 100 rupees for motorcyclists  has been raised.

This postal route, which connects 50 rural settlements near the Indian border with the headquarters of Malangwa, has been cut off by floods.

Kaudena rural municipality chairman Rupesh Kumar Yadav informed that the issue of road construction is being discussed with the district administration and Hulaki road project. He said that the rural municipality was trying to operate the road at that time.
