The flood that came after the incessant rain has washed away the Hulaki road located in Kaudena rural municipality-2 and 3 of Sarlahi, which has completely blocked the traffic flow. Similarly, when Lakhandehi river broke the dam, Kaudena-7 Shivnagar village got flooded.

Due to continuous rains, the flood in Lakhandehi river washed away the Hulaki road in Kaudena, and the direct communication with Malangwa, the headquarter of Ramnagar, Basbaria, Dhankaul rural municipality along with Godaita, Balra municipality in the south-west region was broken. The flood has destroyed about 15 meters of paved road.

According to District Police Office Sarlahi, the village of Shivnagar was flooded when the river broke the dam. After the Lakhandehi river started to break the dam, the locals have been moved to a safe place.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Rai informed that they were moved to a safe place with the help of local public representatives. According to him, hundreds of houses have been flooded in Balra Municipality-2. The police said that the rescue operation is continuing in other affected settlements of the district.

According to the police, due to the flood in the Lakhandehi river, the district has suffered a lot of damage. The police said that the complete details of the damage are yet to come and the data collection of the damaged area is underway.

Chief District Officer Tulsi Bahadur Shrestha informed that preparations are being made to move the affected to a safe place and operate a temporary relief camp.
