The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has fielded Hum Bahadur Sunari Magar from Palpa Constituency No. 1 and former minister Som Prasad Pandey from Constituency 2.
CPN Palpa leader Mathura Dhakal said that tickets were given to Sunari and Pandey after discussions with the party leadership. Sunari is from Rambha Rural Municipality-2, Phoksingkot. He was previously from the Maoist Center background.
Former minister Pandey, who became a candidate in Constituency 2, has been an active leader in politics for a long time. He entered the parliamentary elections since 2051 BS. He was also elected in 2056, 2070 and 2074 BS.
He was defeated by Maoist candidate Leela Somai in the 2064 BS election. In the 2079 BS election, he was defeated even when the Congress-Maoist alliance was formed. Pandey is also a former Minister of Industries.
