Lumbini Province Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary has dismissed two ministers representing the Maoist Center. On Wednesday, Chief Minister Chaudhary dismissed Finance Minister Dhan Bahadur Maski and Urban Development Minister Krishna KC.

Chaudhary, who became the chief minister from the Congress-Maoist alliance, removed them with the change of alliance at the center. Chief Minister Chaudhary said that it was removed according to Article 168 of the Constitution. In the expansion of the cabinet, KC became a minister on 9th of August. 

With the Chief Minister dismissing the ministers, the Maoists have also withdrawn their support to the government. Indrajit Tharu, chief whip of the Maoist Lumbini Pradeshiya Sabha Parliamentary Party, and Jokh Bahadur Mahara, the party's leader, have written to Chief Minister Chaudhary and said that they have withdrawn their support.
