New Delhi 4th edition of Kitab Jatra concluded on Sunday. Literature, literary publishing, Nepal-India relations and other topics were discussed in various sessions of the book fair held at PhD House in Hauzkhas, Delhi.
The fourth edition of the Book Jatra Festival, which was started with the aim of promoting reading culture, was attended by Surendra Thapa, Acting Ambassador of Nepal to India, Captain Rameshwar Thapa, Chairman of Annapurna Publications, former General Ashok Mehta of the Indian Army, former Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjiv Singh Puri and others. Journalist Tikaram Yatri, Jeevram Bhandari, Kamaldev Bhattarai, Akanksha Shah, Bishnu Bahadur Gurung, poet Biplav Prateek participated in the procession.
The international release of the book 'Into the Fire' written by Captain Thapa was also held at the book fair. The book was discussed in one of the sessions of the book fair.
Chairman of Kitab Yatra Foundation and Director of Kitab Jatra, Rishiram Adhikari said that they have been making continuous efforts to establish a reading culture by holding a festival and in this edition, they are trying to build up the culture by discussing India-Nepal relations, literature and publishing.
