In Sankhuwasabha Constituency No. 1, CPN-UML candidate Arjun Kumar Karki has been elected by getting 15,636 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) candidate Mingma Sherpa, by a margin of 636 votes. The defeated Sherpa got 15,000 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress' Dipan Kumar Shrestha received 13,271 votes, while Labor Culture Party candidate Uma Rai received 9,857 votes, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer.

After being elected, Karki expressed his gratitude to all the voters who voted for him and expressed his commitment to continue working for the overall development of Sankhuwasabha district.

Out of a total of 119,630 voters, 62,937 votes were cast in the district. Of these, about 4,000 votes were invalid, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer. As soon as the vote counting was completed, the winning candidate Karki was presented with a certificate.
