Being born and brought up in the city market, Kinju Adhikari did not get to blend in with the village environment. Kinju and his brother had a good study environment at home as their educated father stayed at home. Quiet and shy as a child, Kinju loved to travel from an early age.

The desire to become a doctor after studying did not leave him. But his bright mind was not able to estimate how much he should study to fulfill that desire. 

Therefore, apart from studies, she used to participate in most of the school level sports competitions. She won awards in sports including marathon, high jump, basketball. But after realizing that to become a doctor, he had to focus more on his studies, he did not want to give time for sports. 

He was never afraid of bruises and blood because he wanted to be a doctor. He liked to clean someone's wounds and apply medicine. She used to clean the wounds of acquaintances. Born in Thimi, Bhaktapur in 2046, Kinju started preparing for MBBS after passing class 12. After that, she got admission in MBBS in Kathmandu Medical College. "It is not easy to study MBBS," she said, "but since I am a good student, I got courage and went ahead with my studies." 

Kinjule will pass MBBS in 2014. Most of the MBBS passers go for faculty studies while doing jobs. But she started to think that she could only continue her studies. But he wanted to study on a full scholarship instead of paying money. She stood up for it and succeeded in making a name for herself. "I started studying and training at B&B Hospital," she said, after seeing that most of the patients came there related to urology, I wanted to study the same subject. Kinju chose the super specialization of urology and started studying. 

At that time, he felt that the study was a little difficult and the challenge was added. Education and training ended at the end of 2020. After that, in 2021, she got an opportunity to study FCPS Urology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. Having received the scholarship, there was no problem of having to spend it. There she excelled in clinical exams. 

When Kinju went to India during her studies, she saw treatment being done with the help of three robots in a hospital. After that, he also wanted to become a robotic surgeon. "Meanwhile, I was also suggested to go to the field to treat women's cancer." She said, "But why only women's cancer?" Kinju says that she studied robotics because she didn't want to be known as a feminist or a woman's doctor.

After returning to Nepal after completing her studies, Kinju passed the Nepal Medical Council exam in 2021 and became a registered Euro Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon. Kinju says that she was the first Euro-oncologist and robotic surgeon in Nepal and at that time there was no female doctor who got this title even in India. According to him, currently there are very few female doctors in this field in Nepal. 

After returning to Nepal, she got a piece of information through the Internet. HCG Cancer Center Bangalore fellowship opening notification. Even though it is not known whether Nepalis can/can not apply for it, Kinju applied. She got the fellowship because of her expertise. She got the opportunity among 17 people. There was some fear in the mind of a new place, being alone, not knowing the language. Also, fun,” she said, “but the opportunity was not to be missed.” In 2022, she studied Intuitive Fellowship in Euro-Oncology and Robotic Surgery at the HCG Cancer Center. After the fellowship, she got a job as Euro Oncology and Robotics Consultant in the hospital. Since then she has been working at HCG Cancer Center. 

Surgeons use robots to operate on patients. "This is an advanced model of treatment that makes the surgery quick and easy," says Kinju, "also, it helps to reduce blood flow and hospital stay." Recently, this technology is being chosen by many people because the results of the treatment done with the help of robots are better than other methods She said. Under this technique, the surgeon sits at the console (the device that drives the robot) and operates the robot. Then, with the help of the robot, they perform surgery on the patient. Kinju said that they use the 'Da Vinci Robotic System' for patient surgery. 

Successful in study and research, Kinju has also won various awards. Outstanding Contribution to Research and Academics Award, Young Innovative Award, Young Women Health Care Leadership Award in Euro Oncology and Robotic Surgery Fellowship Award. These awards are special for him. Even though the award was given unexpectedly, she is happy to share these achievements. In 2021, she received a $5,000 prize to be awarded to healthcare workers working in the field. Only five people in the world have received this award.

Kinju has faced challenges and struggles along with success. She has experience that in some cases women are tried to be left behind even if they are capable. But I never wavered. Kinju said that with the help of her husband, Dr. Pradeep Baral, it was easy for her to move forward and stay active in service work even outside the country. Kinju, who is a member of many organizations related to female surgeons, also teaches female surgeons in Nepal and those who want to study Euro-oncology. In her spare time, Kinju plays basketball, which she learned when she was young. "Sports and walking give me more energy at work," she says.
