The repression by the security forces during the 'Zen-G' movement and the ensuing violence led to an unimaginable loss of human wealth. Historical and important heritages of the country were destroyed. From industries/institutions to physical structures of individuals, they were also targeted by violent demonstrations. Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister's Residence, Supreme Court, Federal Parliament Building and Singhdarbar, the main administrative center of the country were also burnt down.

Not only the armed barracks and offices of the police, but also the traffic policemen assigned to traffic management were targeted. The traffic police who were deployed on the roads day and night to manage the traffic were displaced for a few days after the violent demonstration on 24 August. Maharajganj Acting Chief Inspector of Police Sudarshan Panthi says that the policemen are taking shelter in houses near the office as there is no place to stay.
