16-year-old Vipin, who was found in the 'talent hunt' of Karnali Yaks, took the wickets of Guptill, Levitt, Gaus, Tanveer and Cutting in the NPL. Those who have watched him play, are only praising him. He himself says, ”My confidence is increasing with every game.”

This work of Bipin Sharma should be considered very good. Also, he is one of the youngest players in the first edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). But his work is no less than that of a mature professional athlete. Both in calling and playing.
What's more, since joining the Karnali Yaks, he has been jotting down every day in a notebook. This day happened like this, because that day happened like that. He notes that one learns something from training.
Bipin is confident that whatever notes he is making in the notebook now will come in handy at some point in his playing career. He is so excited that whenever he returns to Surkhet, he will turn the pages of the diary and show it to his friends. The
thing is exciting in itself. Whenever the current edition of NPL ends, the question of what Nepali cricket has achieved will naturally arise, the answer will be players like Bipin.
Let's go to the flashback first. A little over a month ago, the Naresh Shrestha Memorial U-19 Men's National Cricket Tournament was held in Biratnagar. Vipin represented Karnali in that.
In that he caused a stir with his bowling. Before that, he was considered a decent player. But his destiny was NPL. Karnali participated in the 'talent hunt' conducted by Yaks. And the selection was done. What happened next was like a sweet story.
Karnali Yaks will play an eliminator on Wednesday, against Chitwan Rhinos. As per schedule, Bipin will get to play once more. Based on this, he has played 6 matches in a row with the help of his left-arm spin bowling, now this streak is not going to be broken. He has bowled 126 balls and taken 9 wickets in 6 matches of the ongoing NPL. That is a total of 21 overs. The
also includes two maiden overs. And 127 runs have been spent, with an 'economy rate' of almost 6. He has taken one or the other wicket in all these matches, he has not been empty handed. Among them, his best performance was against Chitwan Rhinos, conceding only 21 runs and 3 wickets. Not only did he play the first game of the empty Karnali Yaks. He got to play for the first time against Kathmandu Gurkhas and proved himself.
The sweet story drawn by Vipin is also dreamy in itself. Like, when Shikhar Dhawan played his first ODI for India, he was just two years old. Pakistan's Sohail Tanveer is an older player than Dhawan.
Vipin was not even born when he started playing. Both famous players. Although both have retired from international cricket, they still have the same passion. As for the coincidence, Vipin got to share the dressing room with Dhawan.
Even though Dhawan returned to India, he left his mark. Vipin got a chance to see all that up close. He said, "Having breakfast and dinner with Dhawan dai is a unique experience." Coach Gyanendra Malla gave him a chance to debut against Kathmandu Gurkhas. This coach also said in a formal conversation before the match, "There is something in Bipin's spin bowling." Without saying it, he also took the wicket of Kathmandu Gurkhaz opener Michael Levitt. But unfortunately, Karnali did not win that game.
In the match against Chitwan, Vipin performed very well. Among the three wickets he took, one of the victims was none other than Tanveer. That's why he remained, 'Player of the match' too. In a way, he became the youngest player in NPL history to win such an award. Finally his age is about 16 years and 2 months. He also took the wicket of Martin Guptill in the match against Biratnagar Kings.
Guptill was once New Zealand's opener, he too became a victim of Wipin. He also took the wicket of Ben Cutting in the match against Lumbini Lions. Cutting was the Australian all-rounder of his time. After that, when he made the list of wickets taken by him, Guptill, Tanveer and Cutting were all there.
Apart from that, he also took the wickets of Andres Gauss of Pokhara Agers, Michael Levitt of Kathmandu Gurkhaz. That's why those who have watched his game, all are praising him. He himself says, "My confidence is increasing with every game."
Bipin's senior fellow player Jisan Maksud says, "Vipin has a lot of potential. His performance will be better in the coming days. Vasant Karki played for Sudurpaschim, Sudeep Aryal for Pokhara Avengers. But Bipin is proving to be decisive, successful and accurate in every sense. Let's believe, he will turn out to be a more useful player in the days to come.
