Many election songs were made in the House of Representatives elections. Several songs of the National Independent Party (NISP) kept ringing on social media like bells. Election songs of old parties also did not come to light. However, this time, such songs resonated more in the elections, which were not related to the elections. However, when they were used in the election campaign, those songs got the identity of election songs. Even now, some people do not know the difference between election songs and those songs. A vivid example is the song- 'Let's write the future'.

The part 'Let's write the future ourselves, no one else will build this country' was used in this election in such a way that now some people understand it as the election song of the NISP. In fact, many have been hearing it as the election song of the NISP. The part of the song that says 'We will burn in the night as a rowdy, shouting and leaving behind a robber' sounded like the voice of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Amidst the wave of trusting new faces in the elections, many found their voice in this song. They found their feelings. However, this is not an election song.

This is a song included in the film 'Dimaag Kharab' that was released two years ago. This song titled 'Yo Desh' was included in Nischal Basnet's film. The song which reached the peak of discussion during the Gen-G movement. However, now this song has become an 'anthem' in the elections. When the video of Balendra Shah, former mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and senior leader of the RSSS, was posted on social media and used this song, some considered it to be a song of the RSSS. However, the composer and writer of this song, Jayan J. Waiva, claims that this song is not an election song.

'This is not an election song. You will not hear any bells in it. We have only expressed in it that the country should be formed, what will the country be formed by doing,' said composer Waiva, 'I am very happy to see this song being played now. This song was used not only by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) but also by the Congress and the UML. In fact, this song was made for the country, not for the election. We brought this song to make people aware.' As Waiva said, if you scroll through the video on TikTok, it is seen that not only the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) but also other parties have made promotional videos on this song.

According to Waiva, two years ago, director Nischal Basnet asked him to write a patriotic song. A song with a sentiment that matches the current generation. At that time, preparations were underway for the shooting of the film 'Dimaag Kharab'. Jayan wrote an emotional song. However, Nischal wanted a song that conveyed the feelings of the people more than emotional. Jayan was also eager to work with Nischal. So the two discussed the song for a long time. One day, while riding the bike Nischal was riding and climbing the hill of Dnyaneshwor, Waiva came up with the words of the song while chatting with him. He immediately recorded the words on his mobile phone audio:

Let's write the future ourselves No one else will come and make this country

We have to walk through the rust, we are tired of walking, now the environment has to change

We will burn at night, becoming a raven, shouting and leaving a raven behind

The country will rise We have to raise this broken house up

At that time, the melody also resonated in Jayan's mind along with the words of the song. He reached home and filled the melody. Nischal wanted to make this song with powerful words and emotions like 'Gaun Gaun Bat Uth'. While writing the script, even while imagining this song, 'Gaun Gaun Bat Uth' was coming to Nischal's mind.

'While writing the script of the film, where do we need a song? What kind of mood and lyrics are needed?' And at that time, we were writing a song like this at this point in the film. We were also talking to Jayan,' says Nischal, 'Whenever this song comes in the film, we first tried to put the song 'Gaun Gaun Bat Uth'. We didn't think there was anything as powerful as this song. The powerful way this song speaks is that everyone should be aware and wake up, so we thought we should keep it. But later Jayan said, I will try something myself.'

It was only after Nischal told him that he wanted to make a powerful song like 'Gaun Gaun Bat Uth' that Jayan started delving into the lyrics and melodies. But, Nischal knew that 'Gaun Gaun Bat Uth' could not be replaced, and to make a song like that, one has to take some risks.

'He was writing. We discussed a lot at that time. A song doesn't just happen! What are you trying to say at that point in the film? What words should be used to make a song that matches that? Again, the music had to be powerful. It had to be thrilling to listen to. He kept making it, sometimes he didn't understand,' Nischal said, recalling the past, 'I told Jayan that the scene of the film is like this, what were you looking for in that situation that we are going through in the country? Thinking of that, I asked him to write a song, and he wrote it.'

As Nischal said, Jayan sent the 'dummy' of the song by filling the melody with the words of the song. The music was added on top of that. And when Nischal heard the song, a thorn grew in his body. He thought, 'I found the song.'

'When I heard the final song, a thorn grew at that time. I also felt that if I wrote a song like this, it would be like expressing my own experiences and opinions. A song gives goosebumps only when it affects the mind and heart,' Nischal said.

Jayan also wanted to write a patriotic song. He still hasn't forgotten Nischal's response when he liked the song.

'You don't know what you wrote. Now this song will ring in 084,' Jayan said, remembering what Nischal had said. However, this song was released in 082, not in 084. The idea of singing the song in the chorus style was Nischal's. Accordingly, the song was recorded in the voice of Jayan, Nischal and another musician Roshan Thapa. After the film's release, those who watched 'Dimaag Kharab' liked the song. However, the song did not do as expected. Later, the song was released on YouTube. However, it did not get 60 thousand views. Jayan always kept an eye on the views and comments of this song. Because he wanted others to like this song, which he also liked.

Before the Gen-G movement, this song, which did not reach 2/3 lakh views, emerged as a Gen-G song after the movement. 'I had been saying that this song should be played since before. I also talked to Jayan. But, it was not a sensation . When it came to the present time, this song has also introduced me . How many people did not know that this song is from our film, that my voice is also in it,' says Nischal, 'Since the movement till now, how many Gen-Gs have responded by saying that this song has supported us . After the movement, I felt that this song got the place it should have .'

Nischal feels that long-term dissatisfaction makes people rebel . If there is music that matches that sense of rebellion, people empathize with it . That music also fuels that rebellion. He feels that the audience liked 'Lekhaun Bhavishya' because that passion and rebellion within a person are expressed in this song .

Meanwhile, Jayan and Nischal also released a rap version of the same song . At the beginning of the song, Jayan has added two lines:

Ankushe Kanda Roper Pavitra Peepal Umrinn

Even now if we don't think about it, it will never rise

Nischal himself had approached Jayan with the idea of the rap version of this song. 'I have added these two lines to the song because I want to wake people up now,' Jayan said. In this version of the song, rapper Mr. D (Sandeep Bista) has sung about the problems of the common Nepali people. Interestingly, Balendra Shah is seen in the video of this version. Balendra's election campaign videos are used in it. 'His video has been used in this song because we all who have hope in Balen should support him,' Jayan said.

While 'Lekhaun Bhavishya', a song from the film 'Balidan', was being played with reference to 'Gaun Gaun Bat Uth', it also garnered a special buzz in the elections. However, this time, the voice that was played in the elections was not Ramesh's. Many people made videos using the version of 'Gaun Gaun Bat Uth' sung by popular Nepathya singer Amrit Gurung. Most of them made videos on the same part of the song in which Amrit sang it and posted it on social media.

Many people liked the style in which Amrit sang the word 'kalam' in the interval of 'Haat Ma Kalam Hunehru' of this song. This time, as many new faces and new parties emerged in the elections. These songs were used in the videos made by the new faces that the people trusted and supported. It seems that this song was used in most of the videos of the new parties going door to door. On the day of voting, most people used this song and posted a picture with their thumbs stamped with blue ink. Anyway, this timeless song recorded in Ramesh's voice seemed to represent the new voice of the election, rebellion and anger.

Along with this, another song that became very popular in the election is - 'Aam Nepali Bua'. This song used in the film titled 'Jharipchiko Indreni' is actually Balen's song. Maybe because it has Balen's voice, this song was used wherever Balen went. Most of the people who recorded Balen's election campaign scenes used this song. The part of the famous song 'Kun Mandirma Janauna Yatri' used in the song went 'viral' this time. Somewhere, the video of the public being killed had to be posted on social media, this song was played. There is a viral scene on TikTok, where Ashika Tamang is seen petting a dog. This song is also used in the same video. This song, which encompasses the pain and problems of the common Nepali people, was used many times in the election to show the current situation of the common Nepali people. The part 'Kun Mandirma' is also found used in the TikTok with a young man who falls at Balen's feet and bows down upon seeing him.

Not only 'Let's write the future', but the song 'Cheder Kalila Shrestha', which was very popular with Jen-G, was also used a lot in this election. The composer of the song, Monica Thapa, did not think that this song would be so popular in the election.

Monica is happy that the audience liked this song again, which was released after the Jen-G movement expressing her inner rebellion and anger.

'I was very happy to hear my song being played again in the election. Anyway, the song played a role effectively,' said Monica, 'People expressed their feelings through this song.'

7,000 people have made videos on this song on TikTok. Many people used this song with a message not to forget the issues of corruption.

'Gen-ji made a video on my song saying that corruption should not be forgotten.' I saw how my song was used as a reminder that we should not forget this,' said Monica, 'Gen-ji made a video during the election saying that we should not forget it by showing scenes from the movement, starting from those who were martyred.'

The part of this song called 'speech discipline' has been used by Gen-ji as his expression.

Speech, discipline

Here, without rations, governance

Without me, who will worship you, seat
