Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has broken the tradition of bringing the budget with a 'popular slogan'. He said that in the budget of the financial year 2081/082, he has brought a budget that includes programs that can be implemented "rather than having big popular slogans".

``Prosperous Nepal: Happy Nepali'', which was decided during the then CPN-led KP Sharma Oli government, has been continued this time too.

At the beginning of the budget statement, Finance Minister Paudel has mentioned that with the promulgation of the constitution, the agenda of Nepali politics has moved towards economic prosperity. The main agenda of Nepali politics has changed. The changed agenda is directing us to move forward at a rapid pace in the direction of development, prosperity, social justice and socialism based on democratic values ​​in accordance with the national aspirations of a prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali,' Finance Minister Paudel initially reviewed the past, but in recent years, the country's political situation has unexpectedly become unstable, which has created adversity in service delivery, good governance and the speed of development. Finance Minister Paudel has said that the coalition government with a two-thirds majority in the House of Representatives along with the party has the possibility of economic growth due to political stability. "Our own experience has shown that if we can move forward with appropriate policies and political stability, the country can be moved on the path of development, prosperity and social justice," he said, "standing on the foundation of this experience, the current government has been formed with the determination to ensure political stability and accelerate economic and social development."

The Minister of Finance has mentioned the slogan of 'transformation of agriculture into modernization economy' by saying that there will be a strong economy only by increasing agricultural production . He also said that common people should be healthy to build the country. 'Healthy Nepal: Healthy Nepali' is his third slogan. In all other programs, he has held programs without slogans. In the budget statement, the finance minister has mentioned 428 points of the program in addition to the schedule. Finance Minister Varshman Pun mentioned the slogan 'Made in Nepal and Make in Nepal campaign' this time too. The then Finance Minister Pun mentioned the original slogan of 'Prosperous Nepal: Happy Nepali' as the UML was a Maoist alliance.

Why is the popular slogan not brought in the budget this time? After the budget statement, Finance Minister Paudel said that the program has been made to facilitate implementation. "Now there is a situation in the country that stands up and moves forward." Accordingly, the budget has been prepared," he said,  "I think that a workable program is better than a popular slogan that cannot be implemented." In the budget, 'Prosperous Nepal: Happy Nepalese confidence and hope, good governance, social justice and prosperity,  A year of economic reform,  Made in Nepal, Make in Nepal, Ek Palika, Ek Downtown slogans were mentioned. Similarly, he mentioned in the budget slogans such as investment of foreign income in the country: non-resident Nepali in the place of birth, the basis of prosperity: qualitative improvement in education, learning from friends: teaching friends, youth mobilization in nation building, let's save the mountains: let's save humanity.
