The government has said that it will review the cooperative policy and issue a new national cooperative policy. President Ramchandra Paudel said this while presenting the government's policy and program for the next fiscal year at the joint meeting of the Parliament.

President Paudel has also said that the problems of the cooperative sector will be solved through the National Cooperative Regulatory Authority. Paudel said that poverty alleviation directly targeted programs will be conducted in a coordinated and effective manner.

It is said that a fund will be established through the Cooperative Regulatory Authority to provide immediate relief to small savers of troubled cooperatives. The government has said that it will establish cooperative credit information, savings protection and debt recovery tribunals.
