The government is going to develop the province as a specialized economic center in collaboration with the private sector. Presenting the budget for the next financial year on Tuesday, Finance Minister Varshman Pun said that Koshi province will be developed as an industry hub, Madhesh as agriculture hub, Wagmati as information technology hub and Gandaki as tourism hub. He said that Lumbini province will be made an economic hub for small and medium enterprises, Karnali for herbs and Far West for religious tourism.

Apart from this, it is mentioned in the budget that ``Gandaki Economic Triangle Plan'' will be made for the integrated development of Bharatpur, Pokhara and Butwal. "Under the project, industrial revival and quality employment will be created by building an industrial ecosystem in partnership with the private sector," Finance Minister Pun said. The budget mentions that the expansion of Narayanghat-Butwal and Muglin-Pokhara road sections under construction in the Gandaki triangle will be completed in the next financial year. Finance Minister Pun said that the Butwal-Pokhara road section will be upgraded to a dedicated two-lane, the transport network necessary for industrial development will be built in all the three corridors of the triangle.

'Under the triangle project, Narayanghat-Butwal section will be developed as a center for construction materials and heavy industry, Muglin-Pokhara section as a center for agriculture and food processing industry, and Pokhara-Butwal section as a center for household goods and service-related industries including electrical appliances, shoes, clothes, carpets. He said, "For the implementation of the project, tourism services, water trips and specialized health services will be developed in the Bharatpur corner, adventure entertainment, tourism services and research higher education in the Pokhara corner and religious tourism, data center and information technology institutions will be developed in the Butwal-Bhairawa corner."  

Finance Minister Pun said that 2 billion has been allocated to implement this project, which will be developed as a model of public-private partnership. Likewise, it is said that the Prime Minister will encourage domestic production through the Nepali Production and Consumption Enhancement Program. It is mentioned in the budget that collaboration with the private sector will be carried out in Make in Nepal and Made in Nepal campaigns. It is also mentioned in the budget that the government will share the infrastructure including access roads, transmission lines, regular electricity service and internet service to the places of manufacturing industry and tourism industry. 

Similarly, to encourage the domestic industry, the tariff on raw and prepared goods will be reduced by at least 1 level. According to the government, the duty and excise duty on the raw materials used in the industry of medicine, induction, induction stove, thread, helmet, sanitary pad, cashew, cashew nut, spring leaf have been reduced. It is mentioned in the budget statement that the import duty and excise duty of some prepared goods have been increased to protect the indigenous industry. 

The government has said that the export of carpets, carpets, yarn, ready-made fabrics, cement, which have been identified by the Nepal Trade Integrated Strategy and are currently being exported in high quantities, has increased. The budget also mentions that products with low weight and high value will be produced and exported using indigenous labor and raw materials. Finance Minister Pun said that coffee, cardamom, tea and Himalayan water will be branded in the first phase. A logistics master plan will be created and implemented for the integrated and strategic development of business-related infrastructure. By developing and using commercial infrastructure and technology, Nepalese goods will be made competitive in the international market by reducing production and trade costs, he said, and the quality standards of imported goods and services will be determined. The process of making agreements with neighboring countries will be increased so that standards are uniform.'
