In the current fiscal year, the budget has been increased for the alternative auxiliary highway construction program at the rural level, which has been criticized for allocating a lot of budget to the home districts of the prime minister and ministers. The government has allocated 8.8 billion rupees for this program. According to the sources, the budget of this program has been increased so that it will be more in the home districts of the ministers.

In the current financial year, the National Planning Commission had set a ceiling of one and a half billion for the program, while the Ministry of Physical Sciences had sent a proposal of two billion. However, the then Finance Minister Prakasharan Mahat allocated 5.175 billion rupees. In the current financial year, 51 percent of the total budget of the program was allocated in the home districts of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, then Finance Minister Mahat and then Physical Infrastructure Minister Prakash Jwala, which was highly criticized. 

A budget of 1.1 billion was allocated for Dadeldhura, the home district of Congress President Deuba. 665 million was allocated only for Nuwakot, the home district of then finance minister Mahat. 541 million was allocated only in Gorkha, the constituency of Prime Minister Dahal. Under this program, 25 million rupees were allocated for Salyan, the home district of then physical infrastructure minister Jwala. 

Similarly, 1 billion 500 million has been allocated for the infrastructure development of Madhesh and Karnali provinces in the coming year. While criticism is being made that the unnecessary budget is being spent on the construction of municipal buildings, the government has allocated the budget for the administrative building infrastructure program at the local level. 

Similarly, the government is going to construct a suspension bridge at a distance of half an hour in the district where there is a problem in crossing the river. Finance Minister Pun said that the suspension bridge will be built with the cost sharing of the union, state and local levels. A budget of 3.4 billion rupees has been allocated for that.

4 billion 27 million budget has been allocated for the construction of local road bridges. It is mentioned in the budget that provincial and local road improvement programs will be conducted to connect local level centers that are not connected by paved road network with provincial centers and national highways. 7 billion 8 million rupees have been allocated for that.

In cooperation with the local level, the possibility of sky-way and pod-way transport system will be studied and its construction will be carried forward in Dhobikhola, Wagmati and Bishnumati corridors of Kathmandu Valley. Neel Bhattarai, vice president of Kathmandu Podway Company Pvt. Ltd., said that a report has been submitted after conducting a preliminary study that podways can be operated in 100 kilometers in 13 municipalities of Kathmandu Valley. "Pod-way transport is the best option for smooth travel and traffic jams on the river banks of Kathmandu," he said.

The families who want to build housing with the money earned from foreign employment will be included in the systematic settlement development program. It is mentioned in the budget that at least 10 families who want to build a house with the remittance money will be encouraged to build single or group housing in one place in coordination with the local level. Simraungadh in Bara, Thori in Parsa, Lomanthang in Mustang, Dho Valley in Upper Dolpa, Limi Valley in Humla and Chandni Dodhara in Kanchanpur will be built and developed as economic and tourist centers.
