In Makawanpur's 2 constituencies, 10,615 votes were invalidated out of 186,959 votes cast. The highest number of votes were invalidated due to more than one election symbol being stamped on the same ballot paper, according to the Chief Election Office, Hetauda.

Out of 156,899 voters, 58.7 percent or 91,116 votes were cast in Makawanpur-2. Out of the votes cast, 6.3 percent were invalidated.
In Makawanpur-1, 5,118 votes were invalidated out of 95,843 votes cast, 5,118 votes were invalidated or 5.33 percent. There are 158,435 voters in this constituency. Hari Prasad Dhakal, Chief of the Bagmati Province Election Office, Hetauda, said that 5.33 percent of the votes cast were invalid. 90,725 votes were cast in that area.
