In the House of Representatives elections held on Thursday, half of the candidates from Kavrepalanchok failed to cross the 100-vote mark. There were 42 candidates in both constituencies of the district. Out of these, 11 are independent candidates. In Constituency No. 1, 7 and 14 candidates failed to cross the 100-vote mark.
Seven candidates in Kavrepalanchok-1 received less than 100 votes. Four candidates in this constituency received less than 1,000 votes. Among those who did not cross the 100-vote mark, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal's Man Bahadur Tamang received 71 votes, Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party's Raju Tamang received 52 votes, and Pragatishil Loktantrik Party's Gyanendra Kumar Shrestha received 56 votes, Inclusionist Samajwadi Party's Binod Lama received 50 votes, National Republican Nepal's Bharat Tamang received 35 votes, and independent candidate Jeevan Lama received 94 votes, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer. Independent candidate Yubaraj Chaulagain received the least votes in this constituency, with seven votes.
Among those who got less than 1,000 votes in this constituency, Nawaraj Satyal of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 699 votes, Dhiraj Lama of the Shram Sanskriti Party received 287 votes, Kamal Bahadur Lama of the Mangal National Organization received 156 votes, Kanchha Tamang of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) received 149 votes, Ratna Lama of the United Citizens Party received 114 votes, and independent candidate Rajesh Kumar Shrestha received 169 votes.
In Kavrepalanchok-2, more than a dozen candidates were limited to less than 50 votes. According to the Returning Officer's Office, Miteri Party Nepal's Hari Bahadur Thapa received 10 votes, National Republican Nepal's Sukman Tamang received 15 votes, Mongol National Organization's Umesh Lama received 28 votes, CPN-United's Rajan Thapa received 28 votes, Janata Samajwadi Party's Rakam Lama received 32 votes, Rastriya Janamorcha's Subarna Bikram Thapa received 39 votes, and independent candidates Keshav Raj Timilsina received four votes, Lenin Bista received eight votes, Ganesh Prasad Adhikari received 11 votes, Bishnukumar Shrestha received 13 votes, Sitaram Mainali received 21 votes, Umesh Thapa received 26 votes, Dilli Prasad Neupane received 31 votes, and Asha Tamang received 59 votes.
