Since the UML, the largest party in the coalition, has not sent a 'big' leader, many have questioned its trust in the government. In the 18-member secretariat of UML, apart from President Oli, only 6 officials are MPs. Among the top leaders are Vice President Vishnu Paudel, Deputy Secretary General Prithvi Subba Gurung and Secretaries Gokarna Bista, Yogesh Bhattarai, Chavi Lal Vishwakarma and Raghuveer Mahaseth MP. But UML has sent Secretary Mahaseth to the government by making him the leader of the party.
Vice President Paudel, the planner of the new alliance, was also said to be joining the government, but he himself withdrew. He had already informed President Oli two days ago that he would not go to ministries other than those claimed by Maoists in finance and RSVP in home affairs. We have gone to the government under the leadership of party secretary Raghuveer Mahaseth, who has been deputy prime minister and foreign minister. Government has been led by officials. There is no other reason for this.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal himself complained that the ministers of the previous coalition did not do a good job. What is the basis for the good work of this government led by Dahal?
I am confident that this government will do good work for the people and the nation. All the parties in the coalition have expressed their commitment to speed up the work of the government.
Why was there doubt in the beginning that this power alliance would last for a long time?
This alliance will go until the 084 elections. Until then, the government will do good work in the areas of development, good governance and social justice.
