The parliamentarians have emphasized that the school education bill should be brought so that future education is self-reliant and skill-oriented.

Speaking at the meeting of the sub-committee on the School Education Bill, 2080 formed under the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee on Monday, the MPs said that future education should become skill-based and independent. They are of the opinion that national interest should be prioritized while ensuring that the bill does not fall into the hands of vested interest groups. In addition, he said that a bill containing a policy to prevent students from going abroad is necessary. Speaking at the

meeting, Education, Health and Information Technology Committee Chairman Ammar Bahadur Thapa mentioned that the school education bill is very important. He stated that the country cannot be improved unless the education system is improved, and expressed the opinion that the bill should be freed from the influence of interest groups and should be constructed with the national interest at the center.

He said, "The School Education Bill is very important. Unless we can improve education, we cannot improve the country. Some interest groups may seek to use it as a means of fulfilling their interests. Therefore, we should prioritize national interest. Our committee is moving in the same direction, and the subcommittee will move accordingly. Future education should be independent and skill oriented. We should create an environment that prevents students who have studied from the current education system to go to Gulf countries or other countries. The school education system should be strengthened from the basic level to class 12.

In a similar meeting, Maoist MP Rekha Sharma stated that reforming school education is not a small matter and said that the bill should not be weakened by showing lack of resources. She proposed that a permanent task force should be formed for the improvement of school education.

She said, "The school education bill is very important. It should not be weakened due to lack of resources. Also, many people are working in minimum service facilities. Therefore, by forming a permanent task force and coordinating with the secretariat and the ministry, experts who have made excellent contributions to school education should also be consulted. Instead, a small task force should be formed and proceed effectively. In the

meeting, the coordinator of the sub-committee on the School Education Bill, 2080 and UML MP Chabilal Bishwakarma said that they are serious about the demands of the Nepal Teachers' Federation. The federation expressed that they are aware of the issues that have been brought to the attention of the government and the committee and promised to advance the bill responsibly.

He asked the Federation to postpone the protest and return to negotiations.

He said, 'Friends of the Nepal Teachers Federation are protesting with the aim of drawing the attention of the government, committee and other parties. We are fully responsible for this bill and the subject. We are aware of the agreements made by the government several times in the past. We are serious about the issues raised by the federation and we will proceed by addressing them.

coordinator Vishwakarma informed that out of 113 meetings of the committee, 33 meetings were focused on the school education bill. He said that the teachers' federation was protesting because the government had gone ahead with the bill itself. The federation has continued to sit in the offices of various political parties in recent days.
