Painter Bhim Prasad Sharma, who heard about the energy that can awaken life in the Kundalini at the base of a person's spine according to Eastern philosophy, got excited about it during the Corona period. Read and understood about the method and sadhana to awaken that energy.
He grew up watching the pictures made by his scholarly father, who is also an astrologer, drawing china. As the spiritual influence gradually faded, his interest in Kundalini grew. He put his knowledge about Kundalini on canvas through painting. He named 37 paintings out of those prepared as 'Kundalini' and put them on display from Wednesday. On the last day of the exhibition, on November 12, Bhim Prasad is preparing to release a 218-page book written by himself about Kundalini Yoga.
61-year-old Bhimprasad, born in Baglung Sarkuwa, has been living in Gaindakot since 2039. 'Kundalini' is his 12th solo painting exhibition. Apart from the country, he has also exhibited solo paintings in Germany and Canada. His paintings were sold for up to 5,000 euros in Germany. He says that he has worked hard for three years for this exhibition. 'Pitaji Pandit Juktiballab Sharma was an astrologer who wrote Chinese. While writing Lama-Lama Chinese, he used to prepare colors at home and make attractive pictures. Which made me interested in painting from a young age. And his interest in spirituality also increased from a young age,'' Sharma said.
While understanding about Kundalini, I also read religious texts written about it, listened to the words of experts. And based on what he knew, he decided to draw it. "Corona period has become the best time to make a picture about it," he said. Freely, he began to paint pictures of Kundalini on canvas. It took months for a single painting. Understanding Kundalini, it took a lot of effort to put it on the canvas. After understanding about this, I started writing the book. I did the exhibition after all the preparations were completed. Three years have passed for this,” said Bhimprasad. He wants this picture to increase the interest and discussion about Kundalini in the society.
Kundalini is believed to have seven chakras. He has drawn two pictures to represent one cycle. One picture is about Chakra Sadhana and the other one is related to mudra for Sadhana. He said that the 14 pictures on display are related to the method of Kundalini. The remaining 23 pictures are about the effects of Kundalini Sadhana. He said that he put into the picture what he understood about the effect on a person when the Kundalini is awakened. Some call it Hatha Yoga, some call it Gupta Gyan. What exactly is this? If it is useful for life, how will the community use it? My wish is that it should be widely discussed," said Sharma.
