Rizvi remained unbeaten on 70 and Stubbs on 39. Rizvi hit 5 fours and 4 sixes in 47 balls and Stubbs hit 3 fours and 1 six in 32 balls. Prince Yadav took 2 wickets for Lucknow, while Mohammad Sami and Mohsin Khan took 1 wicket each.
Delhi lost captain KL Rahul in the first ball of the innings. He was dismissed by Sami. Another opener Pathum Nissanka was also dismissed for 1 run. Nitish Rana was dismissed for 15 runs. Captain Axar Patel was bowled by Prince on the first ball he faced and Delhi were rescued by Rizvi and Stubbs in the fifth over when they were at 24-4.
Earlier, Lucknow, who had come in to bat after losing the toss, were all out for 141 runs in 18.4 overs. Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan took 3 wickets each to destroy Lucknow. South African fast bowler Ngidi gave up 27 runs in 3.4 overs and Natarajan gave up 29 runs in 4 overs. Devrehate spinner Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets for 31 runs in 4 overs and Axar took 1 wicket.
Opener Mitchell Marsh scored 35 runs for Lucknow. He hit 2 fours and 3 sixes in 28 balls. But then captain Rishabh Pant was out for 7, Aiden Markram for 11, Ayush Badoni for zero, Nicholas Pooran for 8, Mukul Chaudhary for 14 runs, while Shahbaz Ahmed remained unbeaten on 15 runs.
