Some Nepali players, who were limited to average batting performances in the second edition of the NPL, have shone in bowling. So far, Biratnagar Kings captain Sandeep Lamichhane has taken the most wickets, 15 in 7 matches.

His performance was crucial in taking the team to the qualifiers. Lamichhane was also good in economy. He conceded runs at an average of 5.10.

Sudurpaschim's Abhinash Bohora also helped the team to the qualifiers by taking 14 wickets. His economy was 7.80. Kathmandu Gorkhaz's Sahab Alam took 12 wickets. He performed well with a hat-trick of 6-25 in the match against Pokhara. Alam's economy was 6.33. 

NPL: Nepali players who shined in bowling Kathmandu captain Karan KC also performed well. He took a total of 12 wickets. Apart from that, Dhananjay Lakshman of Porkha, Milind Kumar of Kathmandu, Sher Malla of Lumbini, Harmit Singh of Sudurpaschim and Nandan Yadav of Karnali Yaks took 10 wickets each. Overall, Nepali players who failed in batting have performed well in bowling. 

Similarly, Sudurpaschim's Binod Bhandari is ahead in the list of players who have taken the most dismissals, except for bowlers. He has taken seven catches and stumped three. Also, Pokhara's Adam Rossington has taken four catches and stumped three outs. Also, Kathmandu's John Simpson has taken one catch and stumped four outs.

The players who have taken the most catches are Kathmandu's Milind Kumar and Chitwan's Kushal Malla. Both have taken eight catches each. Milind Kumar took five catches in the match against Pokhara. Kathmandu's Gerard Erasmus and Pokhara's captain Kushal Bhurtel have taken seven catches each. So far, batters have been dismissed through catches 203 times.
