Biratnagar Kings have posted the highest score in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket after Lokesh Bam and Martin Guptill scored half-centuries. Invited to bat after Pokhara Avengers won the toss, Biratnagar scored 220 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

This is the highest score in NPL history . Biratnagar has surpassed its own record of the highest score . Last year, Biratnagar won the match against Lumbini Lions by scoring 193 runs for the loss of 8 wickets .

Bam and Guptill had a partnership of 132 runs for the second wicket . This is the second highest partnership score in NPL history . Last year, Pokhara's Andrew House and Dinesh Kharel had put on 176 runs for the first wicket without loss .

After George Mansi was dismissed for 10 runs with 1 six and 1 four, Bam and Guptill dominated the Pokhara bowlers . Guptill scored 61 runs in 35 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes . Bam scored 72 runs in 48 balls with 7 fours and 1 six .

Bashir Ahmed was out for 23 runs in 13 balls after hitting 1 four and 2 sixes. Shubham Ranjan was out for 38 runs in 16 balls after hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes. Pratish GC, who came to face the last ball of the innings, managed to take a catch at long off.

Narayan Joshi remained unbeaten on 11 runs in 3 balls. Pokhara's Matt Taylor took 2 wickets. But he spent 48 runs in 4 overs for that. Sagar Dhakal and captain Kushal Bhurtel took 1 wicket each.
